QuadTraining Inc. provides professional ATV, UTV, XTV/ARGO, snowmobile and trailer-towing safety training for individuals, businesses, municipalities, emergency services, Indigenous communities and government agencies across Ontario.

Training Built Around How You Operate

The way a machine is used can significantly affect the training an operator requires. Recreational riders may encounter trails, hills, water crossings and changing terrain, while workplace operators must also consider company procedures, equipment responsibilities, coworkers, the public and applicable workplace requirements.



QuadTraining offers both recreational rider training and workplace operator training, allowing each program to be adapted to the participants, equipment, location and intended use.

Choose from our current professional training programs. Each course combines knowledge development, practical exercises and instructor evaluation using a structured building-block approach.

ATV Rider Safety Training

Develop the foundational skills required to operate a straddle-mounted all-terrain vehicle safely and confidently.


The program covers protective equipment, pre-ride inspections, controls, braking, turning, body positioning, terrain assessment, hills, obstacles, hazard avoidance and rollover prevention.

UTV Operator Safety Training

Learn how to safely operate a Utility Task Vehicle or side-by-side in recreational and workplace environments.


Training emphasizes seat belts, occupant protection, rollover prevention, cargo and passenger considerations, vehicle dimensions, terrain assessment and the important operational differences between UTVs and ATVs.

Snowmobile Operator Training

Prepare operators for the unique challenges associated with snowmobile use, cold weather and remote winter environments.


The program covers cold-weather PPE, pre- and post-trip inspections, machine controls, safe operation, changing snow and ice conditions, health hazards, emergency preparedness and responsible decision-making.

How QuadTraining Programs Work

1. Identify the Training Requirement

We discuss the machine, participants, operating environment and whether the training is required for recreational or workplace use.


2. Select or Customize the Program

The appropriate program is selected and, when necessary, adjusted to address specific equipment, workplace conditions or operational hazards.


3. Complete Knowledge and Practical Training

Participants progress from essential knowledge and vehicle familiarization to supervised exercises and real-world operating scenarios.


4. Evaluate and Document Competency

Participants complete the required knowledge verification and practical evaluation. Training records, certificates and wallet cards are provided as applicable.

Private Closed-Course Training

Train at QuadTraining’s private 50-acre facility near Haliburton, Ontario. The property provides access to hills, trails, obstacles and varied terrain in a controlled training environment.


Mobile Training Across Ontario

QuadTraining can deliver training at your workplace or operating location when suitable classroom space, equipment and practical training areas are available.


Equipment Availability

  • QuadTraining maintains ATVs, UTVs, an XTV/ARGO and snowmobiles that may be available for qualifying programs.
  • Helmets and selected protective equipment can also be provided.

Develop qualified internal instructors who can deliver consistent, organization-specific operator training to employees.
